The IJOIRE Conference

Attending our conferences serve several purposes. Probably the most important for attendees is that they have an opportunity to see the “the newest and most advanced part” of research in a particular field. For the most part, the papers presented are not in final publishable form, but they are good enough to share with others who are interested in that field and get some feedback such that the presenter can go back and tweak and improve  before submitting for publication.

Attending Conferences are vital

So flaunt your Ideas

During a conference session you’ll definitely come up with so many reasons why conferences are extremely useful for your research.

For many, conferences are venues for established scholars and researchers to flaunt their ideas. In fact, it is vital to attend conferences and other extracurricular activities related to your field.

Reasons why our conferences are important

Well, of course, that is where you find the most current scholarship in your field. That is where you meet others in your field and make arrangements to collaborate or work together on a project. That is where you identify others in your field who have insights that are important. That is where you can set up unique learning opportunities for your students and yourself. Books are a couple years old by the time they come out. You want to be out in front.

Meet Peers & Professionals

At conferences you can get a chance to meet like-minded people who share your passion and interest. You get to know who else is researching in your field, you can network and even make new friends.

You can meet more advanced researchers, as well as established senior professionals and scholars. Listening to talks and presentations can open up new ways of thinking about a specific topic or even give you a new idea, one that you had previously not though about.

Get to ask Questions

Most talks are followed by Q&A sessions, which give you the opportunity to ask all the questions you may have on a topic, and you usually get really useful and stimulating answers.

Conferences are really useful as you get to test out the new information and ideas that you’ve been offered with your peers in an environment where you can freely and informally ask any questions you might have.

Innovative Ideas & Practical Advice

Conferences are places where many academics and researchers ‘test’ their ideas, put them out there for the audience, in order to receive critical responses. This means that you’ll get to hear ground-breaking ideas, discoveries and theories on a subject, which you’re unlikely to find in an existing publication.

You can also get practical advice on more hands-on issues such as getting your research published, or on audience engagement and impact.
